Aero-mechanical Conveyors are frequently used for the supply of ingredients to mixers, product to packing machines, and for pre-blending. Be it the Food, Paint, or Chemical Industry there is often a requirement for cleaning between batches. Typically, on a free flowing product, only one or two pounds of material will be left in the conveyor following shut down. The largest proportion of that product can be found in the conveyor end housings. Aerocons approach to cleaning has been to accept that even after a normal shut down sequence, where the conveyor runs empty for a while, there will always be a need to clean for some materials. The photographs show our unique Product Sweep and Clean system, comprising of UHMWPE wiper blades and ROTATING air nozzles. At the end of the conveying cycle air is injected into the nozzles to clean the housings in-place. A short 30 second blast sends product airborne and allows the conveyor to take product to the outlet for discharge in the normal way.

Cleanliness

Every Conveyor requires cleaning especially when handling Pigments or Foods. By a combination of Clean-in-Place DRY air nozzles that rotate as they clean, Purging of the system prior to shut down, Housings that allow operators easy access and the use of base material purging, changes in batch can be achieved on a timely and regular basis. Units are designed to be self draining at any angle of operation and can be adapted to use liquid based methods of cleaning. Hinged inlet housings, corner and end housing doors that do not require tools all assist in the efficient between batch cleaning.

Dust Free

Aerocon transfer product within a tube and do so without pumping air through the conveyor the and ideal for Dust Free transfer of fine products. Additionally the receiving vessel does not require a filter system. Air displaced by the product is returned to the conveyor.

Easy to Vacuum

Aerocon is a member of the Vac-U-Max group of companies and as the inventor of the first air based vacuum cleaner in the world, we know a thing or two about cleaning! Accordingly we have designed housings that allow access for standard cleaning tools. They have quick release hinged covers that are 'Tool Free' making the task simple for operators.
